We invite you to join academic partners and instructors from across campus in supporting student learning experiences during the summer term. All Summer Sessions instructors, including graduate student instructors, are welcome to attend.
Teaching in Summer Workshop
The American Cultures Center, Center for Teaching & Learning, and Summer Sessions are hosting a Teaching in Summer Workshop on Tuesday, May 3, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Zoom. Topics covered will include summer course planning; who to expect in our classrooms; advice from experienced summer instructors; and how to build an inclusive teaching and learning environment. Tips for Teaching in Summer 2022
Research, Teaching, and Learning (RTL) is hosting a series of workshops May 2-5 highlighting best practices for using campus-supported technologies in any type of class. Included are workshops on how to:
- Use bCourses essential functions for those new to the tool
- Develop an organized and effective bCourses site using the Core Template
- Create accessible course materials with the help of Ally
- Effectively use Zoom in your class
- Use classroom technology available on campus
On Friday, May 6 come be inspired by your colleagues by joining the Center for Teaching and Learning’s Project Showcase, which spotlights teaching and learning projects developed by Fellows in the Presidential Chair Fellowship Grant Program and the Lecturer Teaching Fellows Program.
