A record number of UC Berkeley intercollegiate athletics teams have posted perfect scores on their 2014-15 Academic Progress Rates. Three Athletic Study Center Staff members were recognized for their efforts toward this goal: Kasra Sotudeh, Ed Wright, and Jennifer Hunter.

The campus Fall Program for Freshmen (FPF) will extend its program for the coming fall semester to the UC Berkeley Extension Center in San Francisco. Located at 160 Spear St. in the heart of downtown San Francisco, the new FPF campus will be easily accessible by public transportation. The 2015 Advising Council Progress Report summarizes the group's progress in creating a culture of advising excellence. Among the notable accomplishments is an update on the Student Information Systems replacement project, national recognition for our innovative professional development program, and new mechanisms for understanding advising excellence. UC Berkeley's 90.7 KALX Radio has been named to Billboard Magazine's Top 5 U.S. Radio Stations of 2015 for its long history of excellence. Cited for its diversity of programming including "a John Lennon interview, Oakland A’s series and Charles Manson station promo over the course of its 53-year history."
