Resolving enrollment challenges - new freshmen

Dear students,

We are writing to express our appreciation for your patience and adaptability during Wednesday’s enrollment period. Unfortunately, many of you experienced slow system performance and access issues as you were enrolling or attempting to enroll in classes. For that we apologize.

Once the issue was reported, our system staff added memory, metered access to the system for staff and students, and re-started the system when needed. Those actions mitigated most problems and enabled students to complete their enrollment requests. However, we recognize that it did not resolve all of the problems. If you haven't yet completed your enrollment, please log in to CalCentral to complete the enrollment process. For details on how to enroll, visit sis.berkeley.edu/help/enrollment-faq. Our highly-dedicated technical team is closely monitoring the system and is reviewing solutions to resolve the problem longer-term. They are working to resolve these issues by the start of the fall semester.
